Using Management Console Restore Exchange server 2007 Storage Group
How to Restore Storage group in 2007 Exchange using Managment Shell
Using Exchange Management Console redirect restore to storage group by following given below steps:
» Open Management Console of Exchange server
» Select left pane mailbox option and select Database Recovery Manager. which is characterized under Disaster Recovery.
» Enter domain controller name and server name
» click on create a recovery storage group option
» Select location for restoring storage group
» Enter name of storage group
» Verify it and then go back to task center
» Open Exec Backup and Select Storage group that you want to be restored
» From left task pane select Exchange redirection
» Check off Exchange Redirect sets
» Fill server name used in 3 rd step
» Check Redirect with the help of VSS
» Choose radial button says (RSG)
» And, Run Restore job
Once database restored to RSG either merge missing emails from a mailbox from RSG to production mailbox or use cmdlet of Restore-Mailbox to copy user database from RSG on server running 2007 Exchange Server to any/same other 2007 Exchange server.
The cmdlet of Restore-Mailbox use storage group disconnected mailboxes on server as source of data and affiliated mailbox as target for data. Execute command ensuring following conditions:

Note: All the scenario of Exchange Recovery works when the backup is healthy but what when backup get corrupted at that instant you need a Backup Recovery Utility like Exchange Backup mailbox Recovery and Restore.
